Blizzard recently sent out a survey asking players about Warcraft 3: Reforged, indicating it may have more significant plans for the faulty remaster. The questions seem to suggest Blizzard could
WC3 cliff terrain has full “resolution”, whereas SC (1&2) uses edits cliffs in blocks of 2x2 tiles. WC3’s is far nicer for editing and allows WC3 maps to be more intricate (although SC2’s cliff models are more artistic). WC3 has functional, pathable water (although I really wish it were used more).
I dont know if Blizzard will be adding any DLC or an expansion to Reforged, though I do hope so! SC2 has Co-op Commander mode because they have a team of designers dedicated to working on DLC content. DLC Commanders and a ‘endless grind’ of missions is ideal for this mode. Reforged is being made by the Classics team.
I’m playing it on hard mode because i remember the original wc 3 being really hard. But honestly its too easy, i feel like it is way different in the challenge it offers. Taking the defence of strahnbrad mission as example. In the original wc 3 i actually was losing ground the last 5 ish minutes. The problem is. that reforged doesn’t add enough to justify the price tag and is technically broken for many, with a lot of removed features.
BlinkyBlinky-1404 May 17, 2023, 9:46am 1. Constant crash in Human campaign chapter 6 “The Culling” in version 1.36.0.20218. Experiencing lag and low fps when navigating and selecting unit. Re-installed game and same issue. I am certain this issue did not exist in earlier versions. The Awakening of Stormrage (Night Elf 3) is/was probably my most feared mission because I feel like you have to play perfectly from start to finish, although I think this was made slightly easier with Reforged. Yes. The timing is really strict in this mission. I was able to complete this around 5 trees remaining. g75g03.
