Also, the 24-70 2.8 is about half the price of the RF 24-105L. Just due to 1.6x crop, I do think that something 16-35 might be something nice to think about. If you are leaning towards the 24-105L… maybe you might consider getting two lenses instead: 24-70 2.8 ($550) + Tokina Opera 16-28 2.8 ($400).

1. cornyevo. • 3 yr. ago. The RF24-70 is a BETTER lens in almost every way. You will get a better image, specially for portrait style photography which is a must. The 24-105 will do a decent job but the 24-70 is a league above it. You're comparing a the 24-105 to a lens that is more than double the price of it.
So if you don't mind the adapter and have (or plan to get) a longer lens anyways, I think the 24-70 f2.8 mkii would be a good choice.
